The June 3 meeting was called to order and led by Mayor Pro Tem Loretta Lipsey in the absence of Mayor Gus Wilson.
The agenda contained just two items under new business, and a third was added at the beginning of the meeting. Council members voted unanimously to approve the two budget resolutions.
The first concerned a refund from Verizon Wireless that was put back into the Gray Police Department budget, and the second was an adjustment to the 2012 budget. Lipsey said the city’s auditor recommended the second resolution.
She explained that the next item was a resolution to adopt a complaint form needed, according to Gray’s code, for the demolition of a house because it is unsafe and/or unfit for human habitation or commercial use.
