Ronda Rich is a best-selling author and speaker as well as a syndicated columnist. Her local fans enjoy her Dixie Divas column that has been in The Jones County News since 2008 because of her wit, down-to-earth Southern humor, and true stories about the southern way of life.
Rich will be in The Jones County News office at 102 Stewart Ave., March 6, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. The public is invited to come meet Rich and bring their copies of her books to be signed. She will have copies of her latest book There’s a Better Day A-Comin’ and a few of her other works for sale.
The author’s connection with the News came about when Rich was the guest speaker at the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce annual meeting in December of 2007. She was a hit at the meeting and at an impromptu book signing that took place the afternoon prior to the event.
The deal for her column to appear in The Jones County News followed soon after. The author will be speaking at the Rotary Club of Jones County prior to her March 6 book signing.
Rich said she is thrilled to be coming to Jones County because it has been a few years since she was here to speak, and she has not been here since her column started running in The News.
