Wayne Allen Walker, 48, and Lisa Haley Llewellyn, 49, both of Jones County, were arrested March 1, and charged with forgery/counterfeiting offense, possession of marijuana less than an ounce. Walker was also charged with possession of prohibited weapons.
Sgt. Travis Douglas and Deputy Jason Douglas arrived at Walker’s home March 1, at about 5 a.m. The deputies share the same last name but are not related. That visit was the third attempt by the officers to pick up Michael Upshaw on a Crime Stoppers warrant. Upshaw was wanted for terroristic threats and acts and the sergeant said he received information the suspect was at the Walker home.
He said, the first time they went by the house on Moore Place, no one was at home and the second time a car was in the driveway but no one answered the door.
When they made the third attempt, they noticed the dome light on in the car.
The sergeant said when he looked closer at the car, he saw a man slumped over the steering wheel.
“We knocked on the window and he popped up,” the officer said.
