When Middle Georgia State College hosts Andrew College in a three-game series in Cochran this weekend, it will have the feel of a Jones County alumni game for some fans.

That’s because four former Greyhounds will be playing for the two junior colleges.

Freshmen Cody Lanford and Cole Thompson play for host Middle Georgia, and sophomore Cody Evans and freshman Hudson Jacobs play for visiting Andrew College.

The Knights – formerly the Warriors before Middle Georgia College and Macon State College merged earlier this year – were 23-10 overall and 13-6 in the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association heading into this week.

Andrew, which is in Cuthbert, was 15-23 and 6-10 and had lost eight in a row.
