And two of them, Timothy Randolph and Jackson Williamson, go as top seeds after placing first in the east sectional last weekend in Loganville.
Also advancing for the Greyhounds were freshman Daniel Curry at 182 pounds and sophomore Scott Rooks at 220 pounds, both as eighth seeds.
The meet opens at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and continues at 9 a.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Macon Coliseum. The championship matches are set to begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Admission is $7 each day.
Last year, no Jones County wrestlers made the state playoffs for the first time in the 15-year history of the program, and only Randolph qualified for the sectional.
“It is great for our program to get this many guys to qualify, and Jackson is the only senior,” coach Daniel Lewis said. “Tim’s a junior, Scott’s a sophomore and Daniel’s only a freshman, so it is looking good for the future.”
