Jones County’s charity bingo is at the Lions Club this Friday, with this week’s proceeds going to replenish the funds of the event’s founding agency.

The bingo is sponsored by The Changing Stations Ministry, and all money collected will be used for the benefit of people in need in Jones County. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the first game begins at 7.

The meal for this week’s event is something different. It will consist of hamburger steak, green beans and mashed potatoes and will be available prior to the bingo for $6. Supplies for the dinner are being donated by Harveys Supermarket in Gray, and Ingles is donating desserts.

Those planning to eat before the bingo are encouraged to arrive early in order to have plenty of time to enjoy their meal before the games begin.

Admission for the bingo is $20 for a six-card package, and additional cards may be purchased for each game as well as the final coverall.

Cash prizes will be awarded at the bingo for each of six games with the final blackout game paying $250 to the lucky winner. Door prizes will be given away throughout the evening and a half-and-half raffle will be held.
