Gray Station rallies past Clifton Ridge

The Gray Station girls overcame an early 4-0 deficit to rally past cross-county rival Clifton Ridge 8-5 last Thursday in the first meeting between the two this season.

They are scheduled to play again at the high school field next Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Tori Dover gave up nine hits but walked only three and struck out five to take the victory for the Lady Hounds.

Mayson Watford got the loss for Clifton Ridge despite giving up only six hits and striking out two. She was hurt by five walks and six Clifton Ridge errors.

Autumn Land went 2-for-3 and scored two runs, Maddie Knight was 1-for-3 with three RBIs and a triple, Dover was 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Logan Faulk was 2-for-3 and scored three runs to lead the Gray Station offense.

Sydney Lanford was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Brenay Howard had a two-run double for the Lady Cougars.
