It was the second time this season Jones County has scored 50 or more. The Greyhounds downed Putnam County 50-20 on Sept. 21.
According to records compiled by the Georgia High School Football Historians Association, Jones County has scored 50 or more points only five times, with that 1975 win over Monticello the last time prior to this season.
The Greyhounds have scored more than 40 points in four of their six victories this season and 22 times in school history.
The 42 points they surrendered to Houston County last Friday was the most ever in a victory for the Greyhounds. The only other time both teams scored more than 40 points in a Jones County game was in 2007 when the Greyhounds lost to Henry County 51-43.
