The Greyhounds have lost their last four games after losing top scorer Adam Sole to an injury, dropping to 4-4-1 on the season.

The Jones County girls, meanwhile, split a pair of matches last week, falling 3-0 at Warner Robins in a Region 2-AAAAA game on Tuesday but bouncing back to down West Laurens 1-0 at home in a non-region game on Friday. They then lost 3-2 on a soggy field at Lamar County on Monday.

Coach Corey Tanner reported that Cheyanne Mosteller had the game’s only goal against West Laurens as freshman goal keeper Madison Findlay recorded her second shutout of the season for Jones County.

At Lamar County, the Lady Hounds fell behind 3-0 in the second half but rallied to score two goals, the first by Sadie Robards off a corner kick from Jade Washington and the second by Kaitlyn Towers with an assist from Meghan Brennan.

The Lady Hounds are now 3-6 on the season. They play at Houston County on Thursday and at home against Northside-Warner Robins next Tuesday.

The Jones County boys lost to Warner Robins 2-1 after Sole, who scored the Greyhounds’ only goal, went out midway through the second half with a pulled hamstring.
