JV boys, girls win three in a row

The Jones County junior varsity basketball teams have both won their last three games, all at home.

The boys downed Monticello 58-43 on Jan. 19, led by Davian Daniel with 14 points, Luke Lawson with 13 and Jacob Walden with 10.

The Hounds beat Houston County 39-32 last Friday, led by Lawson with eight and Timothy Singleton and Anthony Parker with six each.

And they defeated Baldwin 58-54 on Saturday. Landrevius Bowden scored 20 points, Lawson added 13 and Walden 11 to lead the Hounds.

The Lady Hounds whipped Monticello 55-13 on Jan. 19. Shanti Hardwick and Krystal Wimberly scored 12 each and Madison Cavender added 10 to lead Jones County.

Cavender scored 10 and Wimberly six to lead the girls over Houston County 30-9 last Friday.
