The Lady Hounds swept their three junior varsity games last week, downing Dublin 43-39 on the road on Tuesday, Dodge County 39-26 at home on Friday and Monticello 31-11 on the road on Saturday.

Against Dublin, Shanti Hardwick scored 14 points and Jazmine Standifer added eight to lead the Jones County girls.

Standifer and Kaitlin Towers scored nine each to lead the Lady Hounds against Dodge, and Rani Gates and Hardwick added seven apiece.

Coach Rusty Courson said there were no standout players in the victory at Monticello but a good team effort.

“They all did well, and we held them to two points in the second half, so our defense was outstanding,” he said.
