Lady Hounds’ Dumas, Standifer advance to state

Senior Victoria Dumas and freshman Jazmine Standifer have advanced to the GHSA Class AAAAA state track meet for the Lady Hounds.

Dumas qualified for two events by finishing second in the 300-meter hurdles and fifth in the 100-meter hurdles in the East Sectional held at Grovetown High School last Saturday.

Dumas ran a 46.06 in the 300 hurdles and a 15.67 in the 100 hurdles.

Standifer advanced in the 400-meter dash, finishing fifth with a time of 57.24 seconds at the sectional.

The top six in each event at the two sectionals held last weekend advance to the girls’ state meet, which will be May 9-11 in Albany.
