Mrs. Haddock was born on June 2, 1940, in Macon, and had lived in Gray for the past 42 years. She was the daughter of the late Birdie Rudolph Evans and Eunice Loretta Pierce Evans. She retired from Robins Air Force Base as a contracting officer with 36 years of service and was a charter member and first president of NARFE Chapter 2304 in Gray. Mrs. Haddock was a member of Central Baptist Church, where she served as a deacon and taught the adult JOY Sunday School class for many years. She was also the only female chairperson of the deacon ministry at the church. She was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 40 years, James Roland Haddock, and by a nephew, Ross Cardwell.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Annese and Curtis Houston of Gray; nieces and nephew, Denese Cardwell of Scottsville, Ky., and Patricia and Phil Bush of Senoia; two great-nieces; and by her devoted and caring lifelong friend, Lynda Rowell of Bolingbroke.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Central Baptist Church, P.O. Box 187, Gray, GA 31032.
