Mathews told board members at the April 9 meeting that the teachers did a good job and students performed the presentations. He said the certification team was very complimentary of the program.
Georgia College student teachers gave a presentation to the board as part of their studies. The students were teaching at Clifton Ridge Middle School, and their project focused on advisory sessions.
Their basic suggestion was more student involvement.
Mathews gave the finance report and noted that 75 percent of the school year has been completed, and revenues are at 84.53 percent. He said he is comfortable with the revenues, and all local funds have been received.
