Goodson, 27, was indicted on Aug. 6 for involuntary manslaughter for the shooting death of Grizzle, his 22-year-old girlfriend, on May 6.
“We know the case is being presented to the grand jury this week, so we wanted to let everyone know we have all the confidence in the district attorney’s office and the grand jury,” Scott Anderson said.
He said the family would accept whatever decision was made by the grand jury but would not comment on it afterward.
Anderson said he and his wife decided to have the press conference for three reasons – to thank those in the community who have supported their family during this difficult time, to express their thanks and support for Assistant District Attorneys Gregory Bushway and Keagan Waystack, and to plead for anyone who may have known Grizzle and Goodson and have information about their relationship or her death to come forward.
