If last-minute Christmas shopping is the problem, the shops in downtown Gray are definitely the solution.

The strip of stores on the streetscape includes the Carriage House and All About the Cake, Treasures by the Tracks, Wesley Music, Kema’s Hobby Bookstore, and Pieces of the Past. Somewhere in those shops is a gift or two for anyone who has been left off the Christmas shopping list, even the hard-to-buy-for person who has everything.

The shops are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 Saturday. The variety of available items are quite literally too numerous to mention.

The Carriage House has shelves filled with jewelry, collectibles, ornaments, travel pillows, candles, homemade soaps, picture frames, wreaths, Georgia Bulldog memorabilia, lamps, purses, children and infant clothing, and scarves.

The All About the Cake bakery is located inside the Carriage House and offers made to order cakes, gift boxes, and cookie and candy-filled holiday tins. The number to call to place an order is 986-CAKE (2253). The bakery shelves are filled with cake pops, cupcakes, cheese straws, wedding cookies, pecan and lemon bars, and divinity for walk-in customers.
