Deputy Miller was patrolling Highway 49 when he noticed a vehicle on the side of the road that appeared to have been in an accident due to the fact that it had two flat tires and fluids were all over the roadway. The deputy found the driver nearby on the phone. The driver said he had a blowout and was waiting on someone to pick him up. The driver appeared intoxicated and admitted to drinking. He tested positive for alcohol on a roadside test and was arrested for suspicion of DUI. The deputy found alcohol in the vehicle and discovered that both passenger’s side tires, the oil pan, radiator and transmission cooler had been busted when the vehicle ran over the curb. At the LEC, the driver gave a breath test of .179 grams. He was charged with DUI and DUI – less safe.
