“They had a good team, but our top running back, Nick Singleton, was not able to play because of a sore knee,” coach Charles David said. “They may have still beaten us, but it would have been a different game with him.
“But we had a good season, finished 5-3, and the guys learned a lot,” he added.
David, who was assisted by Clay Brindger and Geoff Moore, praised Bradley Hunnicutt and Maurice Brown for their play on defense.
