“That was a really big win for us,” coach Lance Pittman said of the victory over Dublin. “It wasn’t a region game, but they have a really good team and had beaten us pretty good earlier (48-27 in Dublin and 73-40 in the Christmas tournament). That should give us a boost of confidence. Win against a team like that and you realize you can play with anybody.
“The girls have been working hard, but we haven’t been winning. After a while you begin to have doubts. Maybe this will get us going a little bit.”
The Lady Hounds followed up their victory over the Lady Irish at home on Friday with a 42-29 win at Georgia Military in Milledgeville on Saturday to improve to 6-10 on the season.
They are 0-2 in Region 2-AAAAA after a 55-45 loss at Northside-Warner Robins last Tuesday, but Pittman saw some positives in that game as well.
