Jones County’s Development Authority members met last week for their annual strategic planning session and left with a new perspective.

The meeting was held Jan. 30 at Healy Point and was facilitated by Middle Georgia Regional Commission Deputy Director Laura Mathis.

Authority chairman Greg Mullis complimented Mathis on her leadership skills and said the group talked about areas in the session they had not discussed before.

“We came up with strategies for issues we have been dealing with for three - four years, including rail access,” he said.

The chairman added that authority members talked about their job as board members and what they should be doing.
