Williamson, 52-1 on the season, defeated Taylor Howard, 42-10, of Pope 16-5
in the 285-pound division quarterfinal Friday morning after downing Blaylon
Howard, 24-20, of East Paulding with a first period pin in the opening round
on Thursday night. Williamson will face Whitewater¹s George Harris Friday
night. Harris, 66-4, defeated Dakota York, 17-12, of Ware County and Jay
Ellison, 25-3, of Harris County in the first two rounds.
Randolph, 55-2, defeated Effingham County¹s Isiah Royal, 37-16, in Friday
morning¹s 106-pound quarterfinals after pinning Tyler Lu, 29-13, in the
first period on Thursday night. Randolph faces Ola¹s Seth Osborne, 41-9, in
the semifinals Friday night. Osborne defeated Nathan Kistler, 36-17, of
Forsyth County and Muadh As-Siddiq, 30-6, of Southwest DeKalb in the first
two rounds.
Jones County¹s Daniel Curry (182 pounds) and Scott Rooks (220 pounds), who
lost in the first round Thursday, were to compete in the consolation rounds
Friday.
