The Greyhounds won a three-school match at Healy Point in River North on Monday, scoring 171 to 176 for Howard and 209 for Rutland.

The Lady Hounds downed Howard 147-173.

Jones County normally plays its home matches at Lake Jonesco, but the Region 2-AAAAA Tournament will be at Healy Point this year, so the Greyhounds are playing some matches there during the season to become more familiar with the course.

Zachary Haney shot 38 to lead the Jones County boys on Monday. He was followed by Brannon Meadows at 42 and Cole Evans and Kris Miller at 45 each.

Kensley Brown paced the Lady Hounds with a 45. Charli Justice shot 47, and Kaitlyn Hemstreet 55.

The Jones County boys downed Washington County 167-243 last Thursday at Twin Cities Golf Club in the golf team’s only match of the week that had a team result, coach Jeff Williams reported.
