Following a summary of the Authority’s annual audit, which received a good report, Executive Director Kathyjo Gordon pointed out that her office has been reorganized and the plan is to continue that reorganization in all areas.
“We have got what the auditors need down to a science. It’s no longer a stressful process,” she stated.
The next item on the agenda was the Authority’s strategic planning session that took place Jan. 30. Denise Brookins, with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, brought a summary of the session put together by the MGRC, which included members’ feedback and ideas. The summary was distributed to the members.
Gordon said the plan is a guide to use to make sure the Authority meets its goals.
Authority member T.J. Heath asked Brookins for a good way to be sure they stay on track, and she suggested creating a document to use as a checklist.
