Joshua Steven Matheny stipulated to his violations in Jones County Superior Court April 4, and his probation was modified to include 180 days in Jones County Law Enforcement Center suspended upon entry into a state detention center for 120-150 days abiding by all rules and conditions until released by center director.
The probationer’s first offender status was left intact, and the end date of his probation is Nov. 30, 2019.
Matheny was arrested March 1, 2013, for his probation violations, which include not reporting as ordered, changing his address without the permission of his probation officer, and ultimately absconding supervision.
He is on probation because he and co-defendant Richard Frazier were arrested Nov. 24, 2008, on the charge of criminal damage to property in the first degree. Both Frazier and Matheny were 17 at the time of the crime.
