GRAY: Joseph Corry Craine Sr., 86, of Craine Lake Road and more recently of Lynn Haven Nursing Home, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, in a local hospital. The family greeted friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Bridges Funeral Home in Gray. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, in the chapel of Bridges Funeral Home, with the Rev. Joseph Corry Craine III officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Altman Road in Gray.

Mr. Craine, the son of the late James Otis Craine and Ida Louise Vincent Craine, was born in Barnesville on Sept. 4, 1926, and had lived in Gray his entire life. He served his country with honor as a member of the U.S. Army and, upon returning to civilian life, he worked as an electrical supervisor at Robins Air Force Base, retiring after 34 years of service. Mr. Craine was also a member of Gray United Methodist Church and of the Disabled American Veterans.

Mr. Craine is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Lillian Evelyn Heath Craine; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph C. Jr. and Tammy Craine and James M. and Lisa J. Craine; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Craine Grynkewich and Debra and Michael Tyson; brother and sister-in-law, Hughie Carlton and Irene Craine; sister-in-law, Ella Heath; and by 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
