Gray Police Chief Adam Lowe announced last week that his department is initiating weekly areas of concentrated traffic enforcement.

Each week the areas of the concentrated enforcement will be listed in The Jones County News so motorists can expect the presence of the GPD and hopefully understand the purpose of the effort, which is to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians, especially on routes used for transporting children to and from school.

Lowe said he does not want anyone to be surprised about the increased visibility of law enforcement in the areas, and that is the reason for the information being posted in the newspaper.
