The balance of Troy Scarborough’s probation was revoked to the state penal system in Jones County Superior Court Sept. 12. The end date of his sentence is Oct. 23, 2016.
His probation was revoked because of a new charge that resulted from of a recent altercation that occurred in Ivey.
Chief Superior Court Judge William Prior presided over the probation revocation hearing.
“Obviously, you are not a candidate for probation,” Prior said to Scarborough at the conclusion of the hearing. “You committed the same offense.”
Assistant District Attorney Gregory Bushway told the court that the defendant pled guilty to the charge of family violence felony grade Oct. 24, 2011. He received a five-year sentence, which he was allowed to serve on probation.
