A downtown business recently got a face-lift with the help of Main Street Gray’s façade grant program.

Griswold Chiropractic now has a new sign that is visible above the awning and leaves no doubt to the type of business located at 111 Atlanta Highway.

The business is owned by Dr. Stephen Griswold and his wife Denise. Until the new sign, Denise said people sometimes thought the office was a health food store. She said she saw information about the availability of the grant on the organization’s website and contacted Main Street Gray Manager Jennifer Baggarly. Main Street Gray was formerly known as Gray Station Better Hometown.

Baggarly said the Griswold sign is the first facade grant of the year for the organization.

“The grant amount was $500, which was matched by Dr. Griswold. Main Street Gray hopes to award additional facade grants before year’s end,” she said.

Baggarly said the building owner, Sherri Rollins, assisted in the face-lift by painting the building before the sign was put up.
