Jamie was born July 20, 1945, in Wausau, Wis. She was the daughter of the late James Elos Miller and the late Alyce Mae Feathers Miller. She was a homemaker, wife, civil servant, and volunteer missionary. Jamie was a business partner with her husband in Gibson’s Garage and an emergency response trainer, instrumental in the start of Jones Area Council On Relief (JACOR). She was a member of Pitts Chapel United Methodist Church and served as the United Methodist Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM) coordinator for the South Georgia Conference. Her involvement and love of missions since 1989 led her to touch many lives all over the world. Jamie also trained many people to become certified as early response team members for disaster relief. She loved her family, cooking, reading, and spending time in her greenhouse.
Survivors include her husband, John T. Gibson III; sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth James Fuller and John T. IV and Jennifer Gibson, all of Jones County; and grandchildren, John T. Gibson V, Rylie Gibson and Maddox Gibson.
