This weekend will mark the first event of Jones County and Gray’s 2013 Christmas season with the live drive-through Nativity at Gray United Methodist Church.

The Nativity begins at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, and will continue through Sunday, Dec. 8. Weather permitting, the production will remain open until 9 p.m. each evening.

This year marks the 12th year the church has put on the drive-through Nativity, and over the years, the dedicated volunteers have braved the cold weather, rain, and fatigue to present the true meaning of Christmas to the community.

Nativity coordinator Tammy Young said a Facebook page has been created, Gray United Methodist Church Drive-through Nativity, and any changes or updates will be posted on the page.

A new scene has been added to the Nativity this year depicting where the Christmas story began, but Young is not giving any more information.
