The Clifton Ridge boys downed Greenville 47-39 in the opening round of the Central Georgia Middle School Athletic League playoffs last Tuesday, but they ran into a buzz saw in the semifinals on Friday, falling 52-37 to Manchester. Both games were at Clifton Ridge.

Teldric Ross scored 15 points and Octavius Reed added 13 to lead the Cougars in the win over Greenville.

Kylan Hill led Clifton Ridge with 23 points against Manchester.

“Manchester is a monster. They have huge kids who are very quick and fast,” coach Charles David said. “Greenville also had some big kids, but they weren’t as mobile, and we were able to drive inside against them. But we couldn’t stop Manchester.”
