Mrs. Faulkner was born to the late James Elton Skinner and Fannie Mae Hawkins Skinner on Oct. 24, 1935, in Atlanta. She graduated from Jones County High School in 1954. Her favorite pastimes were traveling around Georgia watching her three children play sports, serving as a Girl Scout leader, and being a Pilot Club member. Frances enjoyed bowling, exercising at the gym, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of Elam Baptist Church, where she served in the children’s ministry and choir. Frances was the widow of the late Otis Kenneth Faulkner, and was also preceded in death by her son, Larry Faulkner; brothers, Jimmy Skinner Jr., Elvin Skinner, Johnny Skinner and Jimmy G. Skinner; and by her sisters, Tina Skinner and Jean Hunnicutt.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Jody Faulkner; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Steve Sapp; daughter-in-law, Brandy Faulkner; brothers, Leland Skinner, Tommy Skinner and Jack Skinner; sisters, Ruby Wilcox, Diane Skinner and Mary Huddleston; and by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Pine Pointe Hospice facility for their support in her final days.
