Zach Haney shot a 76 to tie for second individually in the Demon Invitational at International City Golf Club on Saturday, and the Greyhound finished third in the team standings with a 339.

Brannen Meadows shot 84, Kolton McNeal 88 and Cole Evans 91 for the Greyhounds.

C. McLain was low medalist with a 73 to lead Lee County to the team title with a 328. Bleckley County was second at 338 in the eight-school tournament.

The Jones County boys also faced Washington County at Twin Cities in Sandersville last Thursday, winning 172-243. McNeal shot 39, Evans 43, Adam Mack and Meadows 45 each for the Greyhounds.

The Jones County girls did not play last week.

On Monday, the Lady Hounds placed second in the Houston County Bear Invitational with a score of 272. Charli Justice led with an 86, followed by Mo Veal with a 92, Kensley Brown with a 94 and Kaitlyn Hemstreet with a 97.
