Other award winners announced by coach Lance Pittman for the girls were Kaitlyn Towers, most improved; Krystal Wimberly, best offense; and White, best defense.
Receiving scholar awards were Mary Fowler, Destini Miller, Towers, Madison Cavender, Cheyanne Mosteller and Tia Mallory.
For the boys, Nick Singleton was best defense, A.J. Middlebrooks was best rebounder, and Brandon Wimberly was scholar athlete with a 3.8 GPA for his four years on the varsity, coach Dennis Woolfolk announced.
Woolfolk also recognized Brandon Wimberly for moving into fourth place on the all-time scorers’ list for the Greyhounds with more than 1,300 points, being first team all region and all subregion, being selected for the Middle Georgia all-star and Southeastern Basketball all-star games and being nominated for the all-state team. Middlebrooks was also selected for the Middle Georgia all-star team, and Stephens was second team all region and second team all subregion.
