The community is coming together June 28 to raise funds for a local 3-year-old who is battling a rare form of cancer.

The event has been dubbed the Presley Palooza and it is raising money for Presley Taylor, who was diagnosed in April with a Wilms’ tumor, which is a form of kidney cancer.

The Presley Palooza will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Jones County Lions Club on Highway 18 East. The event will be a carnival-style party with inflatables, face painting, a cakewalk, food, horse rides, and more.

All of the profits will go to Presley to assist with her medical expenses.

The 3-year-old is the daughter of Whitney Green and Brad Taylor. Presley’s grandparents are Jeff and Mary Frances Stewart, Randy and Yvonne Taylor, and Dwight and Linda Green.

Mary Frances Stewart said, while Presley’s stepfather, Patrick Green, was preparing to deploy to Afghanistan, he noticed that the youngster’s urine was dark. She was not complaining but was taken to the pediatrician March 25 and treated for a bladder infection.
