Yosvony Fagundo LaRosa was sentenced Aug. 21 to 10 years for the offense of manufacturing marijuana with the first two years to be served in confinement and the remainder to be served on probation.
Assistant District Attorney Wright Barksdale told the court that the investigators took a circumstantial case and made it into a very strong case.
“We believe we can prove beyond reasonable doubt he operated a marijuana grow house in Jones County,” he said.
The prosecutor noted that LaRosa would testify if needed when his co-defendant is located. The co-defendant has been identified but is not in custody.
LaRosa was represented by Macon attorney Lars Anderson along with co-counsel Alejandrjo DeVarona of Miami, Fla.
