Deputy Miller initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was weaving on Gray Highway. The deputy noticed the driver showed signs of intoxication. He did not appear to be under the influence of alcohol, but he admitted to taking some prescription medications. The driver failed a field sobriety test administered by Deputy Douglas and was placed under arrest for DUI. Deputy Davis brought out a K-9 unit that found traces of what was believed to be marijuana in the vehicle. The offender was transported to the LEC and charged with failure to maintain lane, DUI – drugs, and DUI – less safe.
