Deputy Douglas initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was habitually crossing the centerline on Highway 49. When the deputy made contact with the driver, he noticed the smell of alcoholic beverage on her breath. She tested positive for alcohol on a roadside test and was placed under arrest and transported to the LEC, where she gave a reading of .077 grams. The offender was charged with DUI – under age 21.

Deputy Douglas pulled into a gas station on the Highway 18 Connector and noticed three subjects acting strangely. As one of the subjects went into the store, the other two sped off in the vehicle that the three had occupied. Douglas pulled over the vehicle at Stone Brook Estates, and the driver admitted that there was marijuana in the glove box. The deputy found a bag of marijuana, and two marijuana cigarettes. The driver was placed under arrest, and the juvenile passenger was transported to the LEC where he was picked up by his family. The subject who was inside the store was released with no charges.
