Deputy Holloway responded to Chambers Road in reference to damage to property. The complainant stated that a vehicle was driving through a hayfield across from his house cutting donuts. When the complainant got into his vehicle and tried to stop the offender, he was run off of the road, and he was unable to get the offender’s tag number.
Officer Roberts performed a traffic stop on a vehicle on East Clinton Street in connection to another incident. While talking to the front passenger of the vehicle, the officer noticed a beer bottle on the floor of the vehicle. Since the subject was under 21 years of age, he was written a citation for possession of an alcoholic beverage by a minor. The officer then smelled what he believed to be marijuana. The subject stated that there was nothing illegal in the vehicle, but Deputy Nicholes’ K-9 alerted on several marijuana seeds on the floorboard. The subject then admitted that he had some marijuana in his underwear, and he produced a plastic bag. He was placed under arrest and transported to the LEC, where a strip and cavity search produced a plastic bag contained what was believed to be ecstasy pills. The offender was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor, VGCSA – possession of marijuana, VGCSA – possession of a Schedule II drug, and crossing a guard line with drugs.
