Willis Jasper Clymer, 76, of Gray, Georgia, peacefully departed to be with His Lord on April 16, 2024. Born on June 30, 1947, in Hart County, Kentucky, he lived a life rich in love, service, and faith. Jasper’s life was celebrated during visitation at Gray Memorial Chapel and Crematory on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Following the visitation, he was transported to Kentucky to be laid to rest in the family cemetery.

A devoted member of Plentitude Baptist Church, Jasper served his community and his faith with unwavering dedication. For 32 years, he lent his talents to Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp. His commitment extended beyond his workplace, as he also served at Macedonia Baptist Church in Kentucky and earlier at Wheeler Heights Baptist Church from 1987 to 1998. Jasper’s ordination on Mother’s Day, May 10, 1987, held special significance to him, marking a milestone in his spiritual journey.

Jasper’s generous spirit touched many lives. He found joy in lending a helping hand to others, receiving blessings in return for his selflessness. Serving the Lord’s Supper brought him particular joy, alongside his passions for bowling, golfing, and refinishing furniture.

A fervent supporter of Kentucky Basketball, he cheered for his team with unwavering enthusiasm.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion. Jasper is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Zora Davis Clymer; his sons, Troy Clymer (Christol) of Gray, GA, and Bruce Clymer of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Natalie Clymer and Cutler Clymer; his sister, Virginia Robertson of Greensburg, KY; and two special young people who affectionately called him “Pa,” Abby Hogan and Chase Sharpe. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of other beloved family and friends. In his final months, Jasper was tenderly cared for by his friend and nurse, Dawn Johnson, and Chaplain Brad Blackmon. Their compassionate support provided comfort and solace to Jasper and his family during a challenging time.

Jasper was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Tucker Clymer and Louvinia Bryant Clymer; brothers, Eugene Clymer and Harvey Clymer.
